Condensation in headlights?
I know this has been a well talked about subject for DC2s. I know of the drilling method or putting the headlight in the microwave, but what about cutting the seal and then re-sealing with glue? Is this a good method of getting rid of the condensation and making sure it never comes back?
mine filled up with condesation, too. i drilled a hole, left it out in the sun until all the water was out and there was no moisture. then i just ran a bead of silicone around the headlight assembly where the clear met with the grey. water hasnt came back since and i didnt have to take apart the assembly at all.
the brownish tint is rust, you cant get rid of it, you just gotta replace it. i got one for my car used from autozone for 125 bucks. but if you got some water in the other one and it hasnt rusted yet you can still save it.
let the headlight dry out and run some clear silicone around the headlight where the clear lens seals to the housing. I had the same issue and this fixed it.
