So i hear LACR will be closing after this race season anyone else heard any words on that?
If so we should have a all out honda race day there to remember the track.

 

damn that sucks. not the best track but theres alot of history there. and nobody wants to see any racetrack close. hope its not true.

honestly, i'm not gonna believe it til i see it. sooooooo many rumors over the years of this and that, thats its jus hard to believe until it happens. last year, there was a rumor of it closing down too... 1 year later its still open...so who knows til next year. same with tracks opening/reopening (ie; terminal, etc.)

This is true but only to a certain point.

YES- it will eventually close. The quarry wants its land back to crush more rocks? hold rocks? I dont know. But thing is, it is the quarry's land and well they have been wanting it back for a couple of years now, which is why the rumors are going around.

The last I heard was 2 years so 2008 might be the last season. But then again I heard 2006 would be the last season in 03. You never know hopefully they try and tie it up in court (7 years rule or some other thing) that way it will be open longer.


LACR is open every wednesday and friday night for racing and is a 1/4 long. It would be a shame to lose it.

 

awww man. a re opening of teminal island in LBC would be dope! that track was crap but it was sea level.

 

yea i know that i go there every other week or so and from the staff there they have been talking about it alot and they were saying about the same story that granite construction is the place that they are leasing from are wanting to mine all of that land so they would probably be closing and then reopening somewhere else because the city of lancaster and palmdale want the track and so does one of the partners but i was hoping that someone had some real info not just a schedule from the site i mean i know its up and there will probably be another season but truthfully as much as i like the place i would really look forward to a completely redone track so that it can host some really nice event and draw a big crowd like back in the day.
