CC/CM twin disc users, what flywheel bolts are you using? D m/t or B a/t?
I've used both, but the D are longer and make me feel better. Also, what are you torquing them to? Anyway, just curious whats out there, and I don't want to have the flywheel walking.
thanks,
J
thanks,
J
I use the supplied bolts that come with the CC twin disk, use Lock tight white and torque down to stock spec.

We do not supply bolts with our twin disc kits. If you have recently (within the last 6 months) purchased one of these kits, then the flywheel comes with a torque plate that fits around the crank boltholes to protect the flywheel. When using the flywheel with the torque plate you can simply use your stock bolts to bolt up the flywheel. If you have an older kit, which does not have the torque plate, then you should use the d-series manual trans bolts.

Thanks,
i have a competition twin disc and i used the b series flywheel bolts and it felt kinda weird, sure enough i took them out and i thought my crank was about to be ruined cause those bolts were a bitch to come out, they bottomed out in the crank. Thank goodness for the super hard *** metal they use for those cranks, didnt scar up the threads any. called comp and they said USE D SERIES BOLTS LOL!!

According to ARP's current catalog, they do, however they only come in packs of 6. Part number is 208-2801
However, the catalog lists B and D as the same length at .990 so I'm not sure what's going on there.

That's what I'm thinking, but I was hoping someone would have some laying around to measure. i cant find mine right now and don't want to blow money on two kits(since they come in 6packs) if they wont work.

do the older and newer fx700 kits have different p/n's for the flywheels?

I don't know what length bolt your flywheels require but I run a B a/t bolt on my tilton setup. It measures roughly .905. I can't get the torque I need out of a stock bolt so I switched to a arp bolt. It measures .990. So I'm having a machine shop turn them down for me. They are rated to be torque to 105lbs with motor oil. That should solve any flywheel walking issues.

good info there. what tensile strength are your arps? 105 lbs is sick.
we have a problem with losing the flywheel, sucks cuz we only have 6 bolts.
plus honda = 12x1.0 and us = 10X1.0
