I want to do it right from the beginning, so, with that said does anyone know how gr8 this intake is.. The Zero1000 power chamber? it looks really nice, but does anyone know if it is as good as the injen mega ram intake, my friend has that one and i wanna outperfom him.LOL but wut really turns me on is that its carbon fiber and it looks like it is pretty big piping!!!! all help is appreciated. thanx a million, if u have this intake, post a pic, i wanna c wut it looks like on our car. also how big of a difference in power did u c? thanx!!!!!!ps there is a link below to see it!

its a short ram, so obviously it aint gonna make 10 horsepower, and the rating u read was an average, consider the fact that that is considerable with the fact of most 4 bangers. and also that it will give more with other mods such as exhaust. plus they are supposed to give more power when vtec is engaged, in a stock prelude with the h22a4, it make 8 HP, and thats short ram, not cold air man. so refigure the thought

why dont you get a full cold air intake then? that thing costs 247! you can grab an injen for cheaper than that. i got mines for 220 brand new. and it will make more hp and more noticeable gains. is there a reason you want a short ram? rainly state?

you can't really compare a h22 to a k20 because they don't have roller rockers. This is B series and H series lost alot of power because of that. I installed a SRI and noticed a big improvement. I would say easy 5 hp. but with a CAI you make more power but you lose throttle response. so there is a trade off of each one.

pretty much only reason i dont wanta cai, so cuz of the chance of gettin water sucked up into the engine. know wut i mean. plus when i wash my car, i dont wanna chance it. besides that, i dont wanna be pulling off my bumper just to do the intake. i guess the only reason i want this intake is more for the looks but also cuz i feel it would help out more with the vtec. ? !

I don't recommend buying from optionimports.. Back when I had my 5th gen prelude i ordered a V2 intake from them. At the time all the V2 intakes for 5th Gen Preludes were back ordered so I was looking for a place that actually had the intake IN STOCK because i wanted it it ASAP.. well so I called optionimports to SPECIFICALLY ask if they have an AEM V2 INTAKE FOR THE 5gh GEN PRELUDE.. and they said YES we have ONE LEFT in stock right now ready to ship..

So I said OKAY and ordered it.. well basically I waited a month calling them everyother day asking when it will be shipped, putting me on hold for fking 30 min hoping i would hang up, and telling me this bullshit story about how it was already shipped but it stopped somewhere in arizona because it was "raining too hard" WTF?? raining too hard? that's the dumbest **** i've ever heard.. Basically I asked for a refund and the guy said he would charge restocking fee.. well apparently i've been talking to the manager or the owner of the store all this time and one day I called and it was a regular employee that answered.. I asked him if he could trace my **** and if it has been shipped.. He said NO it has not been shipped and he said WE DONT EVEN HAVE IT IN STOCK.. so then I asked for a refund and i foreal told him everything that's been going on for the past month and how ******* pissed I am and he said okay i'll give u a refund without the restocking fee which is the right thing to do anyways because THEY DIDNT HAVE IT IN STOCK!! FKUCK OPTIONIMPORTS!!! dumbass people i swear.. if i fking lived in cali i'd burn that place down for sure.. dumbasses

I have a DC5 now and i dont want this **** happening to my fellow DC5 owners =]

i heard that the zero1000 is one of the best designs. it is a velocity stack intake, with a spiraled filter, air comes in from a big pipe then is pushed super fast to a little one, which connects to the throttle body, the air is also spun from the spiraled intake. air moves faster when it is going from a big tube to a little one, it doesnt move as fast if it was all one piping. that is how ITBs are designed, big opening, then as it moves closer to the throttle body the size of the piping gets smaller.

Looks good and it seems to be reasonably priced compared to over name brans short ram intakes as well.

well, i decided to get the injen mega ram intake. after a lot of research, it became apparent to me that good reliable gains can be realized with Injen, plus a lot more people with rsx's have this intake as apposed to the zero1000, so that must mean the injen is more reliabe, better rep than zero1000, sorry hardcore jdm enthusiast's

This intake does the same thing as the V2. But honestlyy I get this one though. I like carbon fiber.

Well, it's probably really because everyone knows about Injen, and hardly anyone knows about Zero1000. People are more likely to spend money on something they know about.

Not saying that the Zero1000 should live up to all of its claims, just that a lot of brands live on reputation alone...
