Redrilling (prelude vtec) rotors
I'll be redrilling prelude vtec rotors to 4 by 100 for my db8 and use them with legend calipers and caliper brackets. i'll be machining down the insides of the caliper brackets probably 2.5 to 3mm. anybody know if there's anything i can coat the new holes with to prevent any cracking from hole(s) to hole(s)? Thanks.
i agree.
after using at least 20+ sets of rotors, i have never had one crack from hole to hole; they always fail due to cracks on the surface of the rotors......
i would just caution you to make sure that you drill the new 4 x 100 pattern as perfectly centered as you can (for obvious reasons).
i use a jig when i drill mine, and i usually drill 3 or 4 sets at a time.....
todd
PS i always keep several extra sets in stock and bring them with me to the track, so if any of you guys are at a east coast event and need a set, come by the ReidSpeed trailer and i will hook u up!!!
