Default Adjustable Dampers

Ok, I tried searching but all I got was FS: threads. And while some of them had pretty good descriptions, they're all biased in some way.

What I'm looking for is some feedback on adjustable damper suspension setups. I'm currently running Omni Power full Sport coilovers which are great for my track and auto cross use. But they're rattling my teeth out and my car apart.

If I move to an adjustable suspension setup, what is a good one to go with? Can they adjust to about the same stiffness as these Omni's? If so how soft can they get compared to stock?

Thanks for lookin

the adjustablity wont effect your ride really. Most adjust rebound not compression

So when they talk about Hard vs Soft, it doesn't affect the stiffness of the ride?

If I adjust my Koni shocks to full stiff the ride is quite a bit firmer. But the spring rates will also have a huge effect on the ride as well.
Another way to get a bit of a "smoother" ride is to use progressive springs.

Comfort lies in the spring rates you use.

Rebound damping DOES play a role in comfort. When I have mine set on full stiff, I can definately feel it vs. on a softer setting. So yeah, rebound damping does affect ride comfort. I'm using the PIC Performance Select Adjustable Coilovers with spring rates of 12k F and 8k R. To me, they're comfortable for street and I plan on upgrading to 14k R and 10k R. I like a stiff ride but it won't be as stiff as the Omnis Sports I've ridden before. Their valving is just too aggressive, even for track I might even say.

Thanks for all your replies, at least I have an idea of what can be done.
