Default Would this work? JDM exhaust fitment on gsr.

I got a huge dent in my DC 4-1 header. I wanted to go with a header that has a 2.5 inch collector. I still have stock exhaust with a muffler. If i got a JDM header and this test pipe http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW would it bolt to my stock exhaust? it says it bolts up to 60mm exhaust.

Im just confused because if it bolts up to the stock one then whats the point of having a 2.5 inch collector with 2 inch exhaust attached? i guess i dont understand the flange sizes and everything. Im looking at aftermarket exhaust systems and they say 60mm but i dont get how it would bolt up to the stock cat if it was different.

edit: ok i just did the math, the 60mm is like 2.36 inches or somehting.. is it ok to have a 2.5 inch collector and a 60mm exhaust? why would the omni test pipe be bigger on one side?

yes, that testpipe will work for you.
you can get it cheaper from our sponsor
kteller.com

its adjustable length so no worries about fitment.
just worry about the collector sizes.
so you would want a 2.5 inlet and outlet would depend on the setup you decide.
on kteller.com you can choose different sizes of collectors.

its better to go from small to big, not big to small if you are looking to make some hp

Thanks for the reply. So i can get one that is a 63mm outlet? Does the test pipe have to be welded after the right size is made? I dont understand why they would even make one with a 2.5 inlet and a 2.3 outlet..

but if thats the case and i need to get one with a 2.5 inch inlet and outlet then i would have to get all new exhaust.. should i just stick with and oem collector size? or can you get one thats 2.3 or what?

another question: I have seen people get carsound (magnaflow) cats and just get flanges welded on. My car is obd2 so i think it has an o2 bung on the cat. The carsound ones i saw dont have an o2 bung on the cat. How do i get around this? Or do they make ones with an o2 bung?

im still confused...

http://www.kteller.biz/product...tails

This says it will NOT work with a JDM header. It takes a special flange?? I dont understand.

These omni test pipes say they bolt up to regular 60mm exhausts, you can chose from a 2.25 (which im assuming is 60mm?) or a 2.5" collector size. im guessing the 2.5" one has the special jdm flange on it?
