91 crx clutch cable stretching
i have a 91 crx and the kid i bought it from thought it would be a great idea to put a stage 3 clutch in the car.Now every time i drive the car i end up under neath the hood adjusting the cable is there any possible way to fix this or just change the clutch?
That is WAY overkill! If that is a stock engine or even a swap ZC or something, a stock clutch from autozone is good enough. That stage 3 clutch has soo much clamp it will catch any RPM range from a 200 HP car and put it straight to the wheels!! There is no sense in that. If you want to spend money a ACT or Exedy stage 1 is plenty. At 40-50 per clutch cable I would step that clutch down a little before it breaks.

And just how is it gonna "break" when its a stageIII installed on a stock engine?

You say you have to adj the cable constantly
it wont keep stretching forever
The cable will break

Hey, just a thought: Make sure the clutch PEDAL isn't seperating from the bracket. Happens quite commonly with over the top pressure plates, and it'll first look like the cable is stretching.

I actually had that happen. Thats why I preach not to overclutch your car! And to adjust your clutch cable properly. I bought 2 clutch pedal assemblys at $100 apiece.
