How To Remove: Passanger Airbag??

anyone have a write up on how to do this on a 5th gen?

this is on a 2000. base. and im talking about the passanger airbag.

i know you have to disconnect the battery but is there anyway it could deploy with the battery off?

Once disconnected, the airbag "should" be safe, because of a self shorting connector. However that does not mean it could not go off by some freak accident so be careful.

pull your glove box down completely and look under there and you should see 3 10mm bolts that need to be taken out. Once you do that, get a flat head and pry the cover off. They're nothing but pop in clips

can the airbag cover be placed back on the dash after the airbag is removed?
