Running 205/50/15
ex: I hit vtec at 88 mph, 4k at 80, 3.5k at 70 etc</TD></TR></TABLE>
More than just a coincidence, the math works out to EXACTLY that for your tire size and gear ratios.

I got 195/55/15s on my teg, and I have an h22 swapped into it, when I'm at 80mph it's at like 4500 rpms, what kinda tires should i get to lower the rpms a bit? I'm kind of a newb when it comes to tires.
at "80mph", (and i quoted it because my g/fs brand new 07 mazda3 shows it at 75mph, as does my buddies 05 elantra) im doing 4000rpms. the guy before me had put on some 205/50/15s.
i wish i could get the speedo right so im not wasting so much gas being off 5mph

im at about 3900 in actual rpms indicated by my vafc
my tach is off so it says 4200 @ 80mph
usually everyones tach and speedo are slightly off for one reason or another, i just thumb it at say 4000 rpms is about 80

Sigh. This always comes up but is subsequently shot down. Indicated speed (speedometer) is quite independent of tire size. The ratio between indicated speed and engine speed is fixed for a given gear regardless of tire size.
