Muffler/Tail Pipe issue - '97 Accord
My tailpipe has apparently 'rotted' to the point where it simple came out of the muffler.
Is there anyway to 'rig' the pipe so that it will stay in place, in the muffler? (Some type of clamp, or something).
If not, do you think I'm looking at having to buy a whole new tailpipe/muffler?
I don't have to get my car inspected for another eight months, or so. So if I can avoid paying a few hundred dollars until next Summer, I would be quite content with that.
Thanks in advance for your help.

you can go to a muffler shop and they might be able to just weld a new pipe from your existing catback pipe to your muffler. Thats the cheap way or you can just tell them you want a new catback exaust pipe. It shouldnt be that much.
