Default Spoon N1 cat or no cat?

When i bought my integra it had a apexi ws with a test pipe which sounds like crap i dont think the world sport was intended to run without a cat becuse with one it sounds just fine.

Anyway i wanted something pritty loud and agressive sounding so i just recently ordered a spoon n1 axle back i plan to bolt up to the apexi mid pipe.

My question is should i put a high flow cat on or just stick with the testpipe?
unlike the world sport dose the Spoon n1 sound good without at cat?
dose n e one have a sound clip of a spoon n1+test pipe?
(i know theres a few clips if you search but most of them dont work ne more.)

spoon n1 = most raspy/blatty exhaust i've ever heard. This was on a typeR swapped gsr with comptech header, test pipe, greddy? b-pipe and the spoon axle back. But if it's loud you want this is the exhaust for it. Although i must say it was the best "pissed off bumble bee" sound i've heard from a honda

If you don't raspy, you shouldn't be running catless.

Run a Magnaflow/Carsound cat, $60 and enjoy your Apexi WS.

DC2's are loud w/ spoon N1's w/ a cat already. I suggest that you use a cat, cuz if you went w/ a test pipe, holy crap its gonna be freakin loud.

yeah i will prolly get a carsound cat then. i will be running the spoon n1 with a test pipe for a while though so i wanted to know if the spoon would sound decent that way or at least better then my world sport with the test pipe. I noticed that chamberd mufflers sound like crap with test pipes which is why i thought maybe the n1 would sound better considering its stright though.

yep, i agree that spoon-n1s are really loud. sat in the back seat of a db8 with an n1 with out the silencer, but the cat and resonator was still there, from SF to LA and as soon as i got down, i was pretty much deaf for a couple of hours.

I don't have a soundclip, but, I do have an N1 with a straight pipe on my EK (itr swap). It can be a LITTLE raspy when letting off the throttle at CERTAIN rpm's. Keep in mind I have one straight pipe between my header and my N1. No resonators. It is pretty loud, but still deep when accelerating.
On my Integra, I had the N1 as well, with test pipe, stock b-pipe, and it sounded VERY deep. I loved it.
My recommendation is to use it w/ the test pipe to see it you like it or not. If it's too loud, put on a hi-flow cat. Good luck!

You say you dont want raspy, but your going with a N1? My suggestion to you is looking into T1R. They make resonated test pipes and B-pipe sections and all that for DC's. Also I may add look into http://www.sms-products.com, they have custom bolt in cats with the desired diameter you would be looking for.

Use a cat, is not gonna make or break the difference with 1HP... get a Hi-flow cat dude... don't pollute the enviroment...

A resonator will work wonders to any annoying loud exhaust system, the addition of a cat helps to. On my gsr i was running custom exhaust, resonator and a high flow cat and it still had a lot of power and sounded great.

i just put on my spoon n1 yesterday and i would have to say im extreamly happy with the way it sounds with the test pipe. You can acutally hardly hear it when im driving but when i accelerate its loud but sounds amazing which is exactly what i wanted. Its also not raspy what so ever unless im reving but even then it still sounds good.

overall im extreamly happy and i def. think it was money well spent but thanks for the info everyone.
