Default How do you guys launch?

Are you the kind of person that pumps the gas and launchs or the type that sets it at the same rpm until you launch?

I prefer pumping seems to be easier and a faster method how about you guys?

When you get your crome tuned just make sure the two step is enabled. Two step is a two step rev limiter that sets your rev limiter lower when the car isn't moving. Mine was at around 5500 for the track but some go higher depending on when the turbo spools and/or how much power you're making.

Once both my competitor and myself are staged, I hold the RPM at my desired launch RPM. With just a slight preload on the clutch. Lately I have been using my two-step for more consistent launches.

Key factor. It helps you be consistent as possible. Pretty much the same thing I do.

I also rev it to 7k, preload, then ride the clutch just a tad bit. I cut 1.6's all day with stock shocks and ebay coilovers. Haven't messed with the 2step yet.

I rev it to about 8 grand, and as soon as the 3rd yellow drops its piece out, dump the clutch, and hold on.

assume burnout is done. clutch in first gear. let the clutch out til car lurches forward. grab ebrake. DO NOT PUSH THE CLUTCH IN. half gas. let the ebrake down and let the car lurch into the beams. hit the top yellow, let the other go in, hit your second yellow, and since i am on a 2 step, when the other comes in, floorboard it, yellows drop, let out the clutch fast, and drop ebrake. (my 2 step is triggered off of the ebrake switch.)

last time i preloaded, i guess i sat there for too damn long, lol i was waiting for the other guy to stage, and finally i launched, 1-2 were good, top of 3rd went straight to red line, 4th was out of boost as soon as it hit boost, straight to red line again, i must have sat there for a long as time for it to slip that bad. thinking about just launching the ****** with no preload, but then gotta worry about snapping axles
