Default contemplating about my 05 type s

well i am the proud owner of a 2005 blaze orange metallic rsx type s. i currently have a hks hi power exhaust and a injen cold air. right now im trying to get a some $$ for a race header and im not lowering the car untill after the winter. i just got some different 17's for it aswell. now the car probally wont see the track till late next summer, but i still want to make steps twords bigger power. people say get kpro but yea for an 05 with tuning it would cost over 1200 bucks. now a reflash is only 550 but u get like 20 mid range hp and 9 peak hp whish is pretty good but u cant tweak anything. so my last thought was for a zex wet kit. theat will yeild 55 crank hp or 65 or 75. and can be had for 550 new or on a used set up on CRSX goes for about 300. to me that is the best option for some spontainous go fast fun. what do you guys think?

heres my car

and her it is photoshoped

Well if your buying a Race header then i would stay away from the reflash seeing as it even says on Hondatas site that they do NOT recomend running a RH with the reflash. The motor ends up leaning out on the top end of the RPMs.

Some people have been running it like that, but do you really want to take that chance? I know I cant chance a $4500 engine. So the extra Money for Kpro is well worth it. Just some food for thought.

hey i have the same intake and catback. i got a question for you. is your exhuast burning your bumper on teh passenger side? cause mines is. i was warned that would happen but im just seeing if anyone else is having this problem. i was thinking baout dremeling it out so the heat cant travel through more of the bumper causing the paint to melt.

Obviously. It hangs it lower on the tip so it wont hit your bumper.

Not to stereotype, but ricers and domestic thugs buy NOS. Tuners do it right and go all motor or forced induction.

Putting NOS on a car and not tuning it is one of the dumbest I have ever heard.

Let me know when you blow your motor

Just because people do it does not mean it is smart. Plus, it is clubrsx. I hate to say consider the source, but I will.

You wanted advice and you are getting it. NOS on an OEM motor is not a reliable or safe way to make power, period. Motors built with a mind to run NOS are fine because the motor and safeguards are built properly, but to just add it on to a motor that doesn't have the strongest rods in the world is not the safest bet.

You're asking the question here and getting totally different answers. That should say something. But hey, it's your car.

WTF are you talking about??

Even if you were to get them in the biggest size available (18x10) they would only be $2k without shipping and tires.

If hes looking for 17x8 hes only looking at $$400 a wheel. Add that up and its only $1600 for a set before tires and shipping. Even if your talking Volks MSRP price of $470 a wheel your still under $2k for a set of 4.
