ok i know on autopowers page they state that their u weld cage is NASA legal. anyone using this in honda challenge? i would really like to hear from someone that they use it in the league as appose to spending the money and then finding out somethings wrong. also a second question. my seat is 4 years old but i can still use it with a seat brace or something what is that and what does it look like. if u have on please post pics so i know how it goes and how to get it right. thank you

i wouldn't use one of there cages in my race car. Not that there is anything wrong with them, (they are legal). But they are teh BARE minimum, and wouldn't save you in a side implact.

Im not sure were you are located but up in norcal Mike lock builds awsome cages, and there are a few racers who do great ones down south too.

Don't skimp on safety stuff.

yeah its just that i would rather not spend $2000 on a 6 point cage from a nobody. that is like the average price i get. someone even said $3000 so i dunno tho.

ask around on here then. Im sure prkiller, or thawley could recommend you some one good.

I know Sam does buld cages on the side, not sure how busy he is, (ask some one above to get intouch with him).

And then i know of L-con Fabrications, they do EXTREMLY good stuff. he is a user on here, L-con1 .

$2000.00 is high for a 6 point cage. Wensen here in Portland does a custom 6 point for around $800-1000.00 as long as the interior is removed before hand.
Autopower also has a very small "footprint". Only going back as far as the front of the strut towers.
Art Morrison's bars are another one to look at.

Autopower do their job. A properly/custom build cage made by a good cage builder will be the best solution. But Autopwer does it job well, and the price is attractive.

Kirkracing.com i am pretty sure they make cages for racing. I have the four point for my eg, had my dad weld it in for me. I haven't really seen many other cages, but its heay duty. If you search there are some writeups on there cages here.
