Default Am i screwed or what...

I came out of the store today and put grocery's in the back, my freakin trunk latch on the right side cracked off, the whole latch just cracked off and i never noticed it rusted like that before.

..If anybody knows if the little two notch on the latch have bolts under them, like 10mm, then if i could take my roof linear off and take the latch off to go get another trunk to put on or what.

Two latch hold the "trunk" of a hatchbacks rear end on, there on the top. If you go outside and look at the latch you will see two 10mm hold the trunk onto the latch but the latch themselves are welded it seems onto the body of the car, the latch on the right side broke off the body.

It ripped right out of the body? If the body is still straight, you'd just need a new hatch.

the "welds" you see are actually seam sealer. drop the rear part of the headliner to access the bolts.

it's called a hatchback for a reason. not a trunkback

sorry to be picky but isnt the LATCH where the hatch latches and the HINGE(circled) where the hatch hinges?
