Default Why do you guys run testpipes?

WHy do you guys run test pipes on street cars. I think it is very immature, especially if your driving a s2k. Come on, if you can buy that car, and continue with upgrades why wwouldn't you spend some money on a high flow cat? It's called pollution!!! Get a frekin cat!!!! dam.

ghey.

Most JDM cars use high flow cats, but they are so much money and mainly used because most of the track cars are street legal.

I have a test pipe. I love it. Best mod for the amount of money, thats why I have it.

Theirs so many other things wrong with society that harm the earth, my test pipe is minimal.

Bravo, thats exactly what i wanted to hear, just a pin ***** is a good way to put it. Maybe i'm overeacting to the whol evironmental crisis. I guess humans are good at solving problems that are the biggest threat. As for now pollution isn't the biggest threat huH?

Im sorry i have to agree. The only car i ever ran a test pipe on was my SR20 DET powered S13. I felt really bad lol....but it was worth like 15HP. I only drove that car like less than a thousand miles a year though. I would have NEVER done that on my EK that i drove daily. I actually went out of my way to install a cat after i put a b16 in the car. I drive my S2 pretty often even though i have a galant as a daily....and i'd NEVER EVER take the cat off those two cars. Environmental pollution is a big deal that's going to affect everyone and i think its very irresponsible to use no pollution control on a car you drive very often. If you were standing outside, and someone blew cigarette smoke in your face, you'd be pissed (unless you're a smoker). I dunno...i try not to hassle people about it, but i'd never do it on a car i drive very often. And i find it hard to believe that cows pollute more than cars. Cows eat grass. Cars burn a toxic chemical. A car without a cat can kill your braincells and give you headaches. In an enclosed space, even older cars with cats can kill you. Stand by a cow outside, or inside a garage and all you'll get is an unpleasant odor. Plus, there's no way there are as many cows as cars on earth.

lol and your saying this with what facts?

The total world cattle population in the mid-1990s was estimated to be more than 1.3 billion head, with about 33 percent in Asia, 22 percent in South America, 15 percent in Africa, 13 percent in North and Central America, and 8 percent in Europe.

There are an estimated 590,000,000 cars worldwide.

I run it because I can. Do you really think me running a test pipe is going to have any effect on the environment in comparison to all the big corps polluting? And yes, I do like the smell.

Well that's good more people seem to be realizing that cars don't really contribute to most of the pollution in the world. If you guys want to see real corporation pollution goto the mediterranian sea.

I gained 20 mid range whp with it. Its the cheapest power mod out there compared to any 1000 intake or exhaust. Plus it keeps the exhaust from droning.
