Default CRX Rear defogger Question ???

Looking for some info on fixing the rear window defogger unit on my CRX. I have 12V DC power on the drivers side plug. Am I supposed to have 12V DC power on the other side as well.? Is there a resistance measurement rating that I can perform on the grid to see if it is good.? Do I perform the test from pin to pin or from each pin to ground.? Is the grid a duel element or single element design. I can detect no visable cracks or breaks in the grid. The relay appears to work and I have a status LED on dash switch so it appears to be good.?
