Wider wheels/tires, How wide can i go on an ITR?
alright, as some of you know, i am in the market for an R again, once i sell the evo.
my old R ran 215/45/16 azenis with +42 offset volks and with a pretty good drop.
Fit fine, except i had to file the clips down on the inside of the front fenders to prevent rubbing.
my question is...
is it possible to run like 235 width tires all around on an R? Or at least 235 in the front and maybe 225 in the rear?
Fender rolling?
wide fenders?
offsets?
i searched and didnt find much on running wide tires.
how wide could i go, while keeping the car pretty low
matt

In case this helps any I have 225/50-15 on my OEM ITR rims on the front.
I did the same thing you did with the clips.

im sure you could e-mail to find out the tire size since its a shop car.
edit: after looking at the front, those fenders look kinda flared. either way, its worth an e-mail

I've ran the old RT215s on 16x8" +38 rims with the oem fenderliners. No real problems in the front, at all.
235's in the front? Not unless you run without fenderliners and are prepared to do some fender modification.
What 235's actually would be decent, though? None of the decent compound 235's I know of are short enough. All of them are too tall, and that'll cause issues of its own.
