do u think the 42 will be banned for 07?.....
I really want to go with the 42r but for some reason i have a feeling that nhra might ban it for 07 w/ sfwd? thats a lot of money for something that might be banned? anybody got info (tom)?
Can you imagine if they did ban the 42r, and set a size limit. The racing would be close and competitive and would rely a lot more on the driver.
Don't get me wrong I do see it as a way of "slowing down innovation" for those doing the research and coming up with winning results. In my oppinion for the sake of the class I think it would make things competitive and intersting to watch. Could you imagine a 16-car field with the No.1 qualifier and the bump spot being separated by .2,.3 even 4 tenths of a second.
Or maybe even cutting the quick 16 car class down to a quick 8 class and implementing maybe a 11.00 or 12.00 index class. Just to get more racers and fans in the seats!

Why limit the class? there already limited in weight and motor....whatever they do with it...they do with it...I mean ya, it is getting insane with the times, but as long as safety is upto par...who cares -=p

I seriously doubt losing the 42r is going to slow down the class.

Ferguson is right there...with the 67mm. Also, there already is a size limit...it's 70mm. There's a limit to how fast these cars can short time. So the ETs aren't going to get much crazier...

You're forgetting that the 42r didn't really change the parity of the class much, all the guys going fast with the 42r were going fast with something smaller before, and the guys going slow will be slow regardless of turbo restrictions.
