increasing load cap of CRX
I drive xcountry as many of you guys know by now.
I would like to make my CRX happier with all my gear.
I looked in my helms manual and it lists -Gross- vehicle weight
This includes the weight of cargo correct?
if so what is the weight of the cargo(people included) that Honda figured in?
I have searched here and googled to no avail
that being said what options (if any) are there to raise the load capacity?

Safely I would say no, you can half *** with better shocks brakes etc, IIRC the weight with driver and stuff shouldn't be more then 500 ish pounds.
These things are a hair bigger then a shifter kart if wouldn't use it to cross country unless it was life and death.

500lb!
so you either get a passenger OR a suitcase, but not both.........lol
maybe a passenger IN a suitcase? (I will consult Mr. Soprano on that one...haha)
I have no other car at the moment, so it's no work or use this car.
as a point of interest. Here is most of my driving since June'06:

PLUS

so I enjoy the 50+ mpg I can get in this car, I would like to get as much weight into it as possible w/o tearing it up
(or screwing up the handling when unloaded)
yeah, I know those may be exclusive goals but I wanna hear ya say it
thanks
