smog relations i failed. need pass on monday 11/13/06
so my hydro carbon is off by 3 points. 61=pass 64=fail. i'm at 64. I changed the cat already, spark plugs, air filter, oil, cap and wires+rotor, new o2 sensors before and after cat. valve clearance adjusted to .006intake and .007exhaust.
any one have any idea of how to lower the hydro carbon a tad bit?
My car is running a DC sports 4-1 header. the air box was taken out so it's basicly a stock intake short ram. other than those two there no other engine mods.
has anyone thought about making an emissions sticky?

i never took disconnected the battery so the ecu wouldn't have reset, not to mention i drove for abotu 50 miles the night before.
off by 3 HC's? Just go in the smog shop after driving like 10 miles, and rev your engine a bit before smogging. Ihe point is to heat up your cat till its REALLY hot so it'll burn more of the HC's. That should do the trick

I was hella high on my HCs too, I barely passed. I probably wouldn't have but before going to the smog shop I beat on it really hard in the hills to make sure the cat was nice and warm
And if i'm not mistaken, high HCs mean you're running rich?
