Default Finally ran a 10.. First trip to the 1/4 mile

My first and last trip to the quarter mile, right off the trailer the car ran

60' 1.67
330' 4.590
1/8 6.951
MPH 101.57
1000 9.022
1/4 10.77
MPH 127.56

This was with a stock B17A1 head and bottom end, 14 psi SC44 turbo. Running 24.5 x 8 slicks. It pretty much went right back on the trailer and I took it home. My goal was to run a 10 sometime this year, and with all the set backs, I could never go to the track untill today. I am very happy with the results and can't wait for a built motor and more boost next year!

For pictures of the car, click on the "My Cars" link in my sig.

This was also on stock axles and open diff

Congratulations.

You want to buy my B18A block for pretty cheap to build up?

Thanks guys. It has been a long time in the making I guess.

I already have a built B16 that is going in there for next year, just doing some valvetrain upgrades and maybe an LSD.

It is around 350whp or so.

Yeah!!! KEERRRRRR!!!!

So you're gonna have to start making that thing legal to compete in stuff.

6's in the 1/8th. heehee. I don't think the guys from South Mountain would understand what happened if you had a FWD in the 6s there.

That is the primary goal for next year. I already bought stuff to make it legal for next year. I had to make sure it ran the time to warrant the purchases.

Thanks chris, and I must again thank you for pulling the car and helping out like usual.

Not yet. I think that is going to be an addition for this coming year if funds allow it.

I am not sure how much the car weighs, I guess I should've had it weighed yesterday for $5.. haha

I would say it is around 2100 lbs as well. Somewhere in there. Next time to the track I will weigh in.

if you have any places that sell rock(like rocks for driveways, not crack ) you can take it there and drive it onto a scale.

we have zieglers applecider over in my town, i take my cars there and weigh them..... just drive on that bitch, take my number, and b out. hahaha

we also have places like Moyer and sons(they sell heating oil/gas/etc.) they also have a huge truck scale.

there has got to be a place close to you that wont charge you 5 bucks to weigh the car.

Good call. I have a friend's dad that owns a truck company, maybe I can ask him. Also my sister's boyfriend hauls stones soo he might even have an idea.

you must have more than 350 whp. i don't think a 2100 lb car with open diff to boot, and only 350 whp can run 10's.

Why not?

All I know is, I personally know this man, and have seen this dyno chart.

It only has 326whp, as per recorded on our local dyno. Who knows? Maybe the dyno sucks. Maybe McNew's horses are larger than the Honda-Tech standard?

This car is EXTREMELY light. I don't see it being 2100lbs. with driver. Maybe closer to 2000 lbs. I'm not kidding when I say this thing is non-existant.

Good job, John. The 'search for ten's' is over.
