Which car will be faster with a B18c5 engine ? Because I've heard that a del sol is heavier than a EG civic coupe, and because of this Del Sol's are really slow.... I want to know which car will be an overall better buy.

DEL SOLS are NOT that much heaver, its just like 80 lbs. Unless you want a VTEC sol that has better suspension and bigger brakes than any civic of the same era, it wieghs about 160 lbs more. But its basically up to you. Alot of people say they havent seen a del sol with the same engine and mods as a civic be near as fast, so go figure.

The Civic coupe's back seat is big enough to get some play...

 

eg(ok its really ej blah) civic coupe dx manual curbweight is 2224. ex manual curbweight is 2390 (this is for the 93 year)

del sol manual (for the 95 year)
S: 2295 Si:2414 Vtec: 2522

just go to msn carpoint. year/weights vary due to airbags, abs, etc etc. i like my couper.

 

Okay, I have to ask. If you're looking to save weight shouldn't you be looking at a hatch?

They are nice lowered real low! I got a 95 with H&R RACE springs! It looks real aggressive. So what could i run in the 1/4 with a gutted 95 coupe and a slightly modded B16A2! Could i run with a RSX-S?? How bout a wrx? low 14's high 13's with slicks??

 

which would be faster with the ITR motor? a hatch for sure. if you weren't doing a swap, Del Sol VTEC has the B16 stock, ABS, 4wheeldisc, sweet *** seats, and a targa top. btw, the ITR motor would be even faster in a CRX HF.
