Default I got Rear-Ended...AHHH!!! (pics)

So i got rear ended, not terrible damage but its an eye sore. Id rather take the guys money and do the repairs my self. how hard would it be to either buy a new bumper and paint it or just buy one from a junk yard. what would be the steps on taking off the bumper and adjusting the brackets so the bumper is straight and not crooked. Maybe you guys can judge by the pics what I need to to fix behind the bumper in order to put a new one on. Thank you in advance for your input.

looks like u just need a new bumper and to align it, or just paint and buff the old scratched one, inless its cracked

I'd go through insurance, although it is an easy fix. Painting will be the hardest part. If u do it urself it will not look anywhere as good a job a shop will do.

how would i re-allign the bumper. I hate insurance, i dont even want them to see that i got into accident even though it wasnt my fault. I'm just weird like that. But yeah how would i re-allign the bumper?

i hear ya.. is the bumper cracked at all? the bumper it self could be warped due to the damage.. is anything else on the car visisable bent? like the trunk area, or behind the bumper? the parts the hold the bumper to the chassis.. are they damaged?

no the only damage is on the bumper his license plate screw dug into the plastic and pressed it in. the bumper isnt cracked though. the trunk is fine, the the only thing is on the sides of the bumper its pushed out, as seen in the pic. Honestly i think i got lucky the damage is soley on the bumper. i havent taken the bumper off yet so i dont know if anything is damaged under there. I think if anything else is damaged it might be the bumper re-enforcement, but i am not sure yet.
