DA water temp gauge problems..
Ever since i've owned my DA the temp gauge
always fluctuates, more than it should, never hot
always cold, my ECU threw a code for the ECT sensor
so i changed it, and no luck...it's actually worse, the
needle hardly moves, WTF!? am i going to have to
change the gauge in the cluster?
If i can't figure it out i'm just going to buy a Mechanical
temp gauge, thanks guys

thanks!, what's the sensor right on the T-stat housing, would that sensor cause the gauge to malfunction, it looks like the same type of sensor as the ECT in the head, i'll get a t-stat, and a water pump, while i'm at it, my T belt needs to be changed so i might as well do everthing
The connector right on your thermostat housing is the Engine Coolant Temp Switch that operates the radiator fan. I agree that you should swap your thermostat.
i thought the ECT sensor was on the head, and the big two prong sensor on the back of the block (with the black rubber cover), i am deffinatly changing the t stat, and water pump, and my t belt, thanks for the help guys
