Crack in my exhaust? HELP! Need advice.
So basically I found out I have about a 3in crack on my bone stock, rusted exhaust manifold. My engine is a d16y7. The cat is attatched to the manifold
Any advice on what I should do? Could I have someone weld the crack shut? Is that reliable? Should I just head to a junkyard and find one? I looked at OEM replacement's and they are like $500-600
Should I just get aftermarket headers and cat and have a muffler shop weld it all together? Would that be cheaper than $500-600? I need a cheap and reliable way to solve this problem. Dam, I've only had this car for like 3 weeks.

header, no cat
but since your in socal and would need to pass emissions, id go with junkyard y8 stock manifold with the cat which is in normal spot after the downpipe

hahaha i had the same problem but i swear the crak fixed itself. i had a leak out of it but went away. i dont know man those thing are known for cracking. New header i gues
I went to a junkyard and they wanted $225 for a stock manifold + cat. WTF IS THAT? I could buy a complete swap for like $500 lol.
Isn't there some sort of sealant or something I can buy from like Pep Boys or Autozone or some junk to seal the crack? Anyone ever tried this? Reliable?
dont use any of those jb weld sealants, they will melt. if you wanna seal it i guess you could have it welded shut. man i wish i hadnt scrapped my y8 stockie.
