i dont rember who told me, but when i was looking around trying to figure out what i need to set up my syncrowave 200, someone told me to get my argon 75/25. now that i got everythnig to start tigging i am trying to figure this out. went on a welding forum and was told i am supposed to have 100% pure argon. this sux cuz i got a huge cylender of 75/25. so now i am reading around here and i seen that people are using the 75/25 for migging. is this true? if so it wont be a total waste cuz i might be getting a miller tig also

Yeah you need straight argon for that too. You can use helium mixes as well. If you start getting an active gas in there like co2 it welds like ****. Just try it and you'll see. On mild it hisses, pops and sparks and leaves kind of a residue like a 75/25 wire weld.
Funny thing. I think I was watching biker build off once and they were tigging an oil can and it was hissing and popping like a mother ******. I laughed....a lot because I KNOW they just hooked up their mig bottle and said expletive it lets roll bitches!! I think it was the one where they poured beer into the can to test for leaks and then chugged it lol.

Some welding suppliers will refill a 75/25 tank with 100% Argon. So even if you have that bottle you can always just empty it and refill it for $30.
I try to stay away from AirGas and PraxAir because they bitch if a bottle has rust on it or is due for hydro in less than 2 years. So I just look for the small mom-and-pop welding stores.

but then I just remember i'm not welding space shuttle parts, for deep space missions. I keep it simple and just run 100% argon.
