Default ZC gone bad...

First let me start by telling you about the car. 90' crx with some gsr wheels and a blown ZC with a dx ecu and tranny. And to drop in a new ZC should be nothing but ease. Well not really the wiring from the original ZC was all mixed up, cut short, and un-recognizable. After finally hooking up the new si ecu correctly, arose a new problem. Timing one tooth incorrectly can really mess you up. Fuel was spitten out everywhere, it was awful. We couldn't go back into the garage for like 2 hours. Now with everything in and ready to fire up, we couldn’t find the keys. That wasn’t that bad, but the 2 hour anticipation was killing. Finally we start it up and with our luck smoke filled the streets. After the complete swap we come to realize that we need new rings or our valves are gone. So matt and I have decided to add everything you will ever need to know about the zc swap on our site. http://www.1201aeromotiv.com.So you won’t run across any of the dumbass problems we did.

The rings and valve seals seem to be a common problem on the ZC. My old ZC succumbed to the same problem. However, I gave a guy a deal on my full swap and he is currently rebuilding it. Hope you get it running soon.
