Default Hood Dampers, Hood Shocks for EF, and CRX

I saw a thread on here awhile back where people had done them. From what I understand there isn't an app for our chassis, but someone had adapted them. I'm interested in doing a setup myself, and I came across this on EBAY:

Click me!

Anybody used these?

ive been looking for those thanks

crxwolf has the expensive tein ones which work also

all you have to do is drill the hole for the mounting plate that goes onto the hood. you can use a fender bolt hole for the otherside.

I wonder if used the EG kit? I would spend the cash if it was worth it.

Hood prop is less weight. I thought you were a weight ***** Bart and now you want to add hood shocks they are more weight. You aren't going to live this one down now. You want to put some neons on it too and maybe enter some car shows?

I just found out K series swapped cars have a 200lbs penalty, and my minimum weight for comp 4 is 2200lbs with a K. So a few grams ove the front tires can't hurt. My hood is kinda flimsy with the webbing removed, so it should help that.

I have those on my EF. User "CWBETB" recommended them to me.

My hood is pretty flimsy with the removed material to clear the motor. It sags a little with just the 1 prop rod. The 2 struts will hold it more securely, plus I will be able to remove more material from the hood, and possibly save more weight. I'm not doing this for typical ricer reasons. I'm actually going to paint the Tein green **** so it doesn't look tacky. I don't have hatch struts nor do I plan to reinstall them, but the hood needed something better. I never open my hatch so it ididn't matter.

Don't worry I've got allot of wheels, and tires to buy this winter, but there will be slicks. The winter to-do list.

88 Doors
HF Roof
8-point cage
Harnesses
Complete repaint
Tein Hood Dampers
Koni Race SPSS w/ Custom GC springs
4-15x7" Bronze TE-37's w/ Toya RA-1s
2-15x8" Bronze TE-37's w/ 24x9"M&H slicks

And possibly

Lexan windows

All that will be done before the next time it is drag raced.

I've seen them done on an EF. Looked real nice.

He's a real big EF guy on this site, but mainly hangs out in the A/C forum.

Once you add them be careful when closeing you hood. A friend and I made a custom setup on his Mazda and he had removed some material from under his hood. He bent his hood closing it.
