hose #2 in the picture has a hole/crack in it and is leaking coolant very slowly. i just wanted to make sure i could use a regular piece of heater hose from an auto store instead of buying a $10 piece of hose from acura, wait for shipping and all.

thanks in advance.

Its going to be hard to bend without being kinked.

well i just tried bending a piece of hose into same shape, roughly same diameter, and it didn't kink...pretty smooth actually.

i know lack of coolant will make it idle like donkey ****, but could this little hole in the coolant line cause my car to idle at like 2-3k? usually my car idles around 1k with the m22's, but it started idling like crap right around the time i realized i had a coolant leak.

You probably have some air bubbles in the lines because of the leak.

haha creative.

i might just call acura and talk to them. i thought honda-tech would be the easiest place to find this answer.

well i ended up getting a prebent piece of hose from car-quest. i went to like 4 different auto stores before i found exactly what i wanted. anyways...part # 18400 by car quest. fits perfect just had to trim it a little bit.

that takes care of the coolant leak...now i have an oil leak from hell... sweet
