Just as the title states. What's the most I should be looking at for a pre-owned 2001 S2000 at dealer value? It has a clear title, yellow with 54k miles. Also, is there any mechanical problems I should be looking at because I'm gonna test drive it tomorrow and if everything looks good I will be taking it home. Give me a heads up on this because my previous car gave me numerous problems and I can't take it anymore.

 

been looking myself for a while and i found a few below the book value. i wouldnt go with a 01 just cuz of the plastic rear window but thats just my opinion. i have found, and take into consideration we live in different areas but, 2002 wih 9,000 miles for 23,000, a 2003 with 11k miles for 25,500(too much for me), a 2002 with 18k miles for 22,000. a quick search on cars.com of your area will show some good comparisons. i wouldnt pay more than 19k for an 01 with 50k

 

I also noticed when I carfaxed the S2000 was that the first 35k miles were from a corporate lease vehicle. Does that mean it was issued out as a company vehicle?

could be used as promotion car, test car(like those in corporate track day event), etc
