Integra Bumper
ok guys.. i know i might get some flaming for this. but just want to get opinions.
im thinking about changing my 97 bumper for a 98. i just like how it looks. flows better with the car. people say i should go with a 98 bumper since i have the 98 spec rims with front end. and people say to stick with the 97 bumper. so i can keep it oem and original. i just think it will look much better. what do you guys think??

Another 'keep '97 bumper' from a purist perspective. It looks more original, is more rare (for an ITR), and frankly being the oddball I am perhaps, but I always liked the '94-'97 front & rear in CW.

Front or rear "bumper"?

USDM 97 rims are exactly the same as USDM 98 ITR rims (e.g. white)
The rear might be better aerodynamically on a 98 if you knock/cut out the piece that's above what looks like a little wing in the back, though a proper diffuser back there would take care of that in either case.
Bottom line, no real advantage of one over the other in stock trim, just a matter of what YOU think looks beter.

Even though he's talking USDM bumpers (unless maybe he means the rear one, same thing for both markets) I think he's talking about the JDM 98Spec 16" wheels.
Kind of a confusing thread.

Agreed! Which is why I included "USDM" several times.

Then do what you feel like.
I'd like to keep it OG, but it's your R... Feel free to do whatever pleases you.

IMHO, i say keep the 97 bumper. here is the thing. i have a 97 R and last winter i put on a brand new OEM USDM front bumper and a new coat of paint. i was starting to run out of cash and already had a 98+ bumper laying around and thought i would save some money.
i put the OEM rear valences on and painted the bar in the back black: here is a pic for reference. plus, it fits my spoon n1 nicely tucked in. thats one of the other reasons i kept it
sorry about the quality, damn trial resize software. photoshop is on my desktop at home and not on the laptop at school, bit i think this may help
