how low can you g?
why would you want to run lower pressure?
i race bicycles (road and mountain) and when you run to low a pressure in your tires you can get pinch flats(snake bite) and you are more prone to damage the rim....
i would not run lower than what the vehicle recommends....

The ONLY time you'd want to lower air pressure is for maximum traction in sand/mud/etc. And if you're in a situation where you need to air down, you're not going to be in a street car.

I think my mom's Nissan has been down to 13-14 lbs (gauge) at times.
The tires were pretty much dry rotted and the aluminum (stock) rims must have been having issues as well.
Either that or she kept curbing those long valve stems in the rims.

Maybe he wants to have maximum traction for all the street light drag racing he does?
