looks to be the a unsafe way to do the conversions? who has done this and what is your opinion on it?

i dont even know where to start?

^^ not recommended. If you want to go "cheap", then you'll have to buy 5-lug OEM hubs for all four corners and have them pressed in. You'll also need brake discs on all four corners along with calipers. So do the math and add up the labor and you'll quickly get the point that it may be easier to just purchase the whole suspension in the first place. Hope that helps

lol..Please do not buy that or anything like that. The only way to go is getting the complete Type R brake setup from the rear trailing arms to the front knuckles.
