90 civic 1.5 transmission into 94 civic ex auto swap question?
I have a friend who has 94 civic with auto that went out and wants to know if my 90 civic hatchback std 5 speed manual will bolt on 94 block? I wonder if all D-series block are the same? What do I need to complete the swap? any info. would be greatly appriecated!
there are plenty of threads on this is you search, but i'll give you the basics.. the tranny will bolt up fine, but he'll need a new ECU, a auto-2-manual tansmission mount (hasport, ect makes these), 5 speed pedals (get full set of pedals so you dont have a big brake) and the cable that runs from the pedals to the tranny since it's not a hydro tranny.. oh and shift linkage and shifter, ect. I think that covers the basics, but do a search and you'll find plenty of info on this.. oh wait here's a thread now..

oh just note that this was done with a hydro tranny so the master and slave cylinders and hydraulic lines you wont need if you run the cable tranny.
Thank you very much! I am sorry I've tried search and search for few minutes which nothing came up good enough for me. The link you gave me was perfect! Next time I'll search harder
