97 accord problem
I have a 97 honda accord lx 2 door coupe and recently the engine threw a rod so i put it a engine from a 95 accord and switched everything over and put it in. The engine started the first time and now it wont start. when i turn the key over the check engine light stays on. Then engine will start and run fine if i use starting fluid. So it seems that it just not getting gas. Anyone have any ideas what the problem would be? Thanks for any help.

do you have the wires for the vtec plugged into the right pinout?
do you have spark?

is the fuel pump getting power/running when you crank ?
Have you cracked the fuel rail fitting to see if there is fuel pressure?
This could be a problem that just decided to rear up it's ugly head at this time and might have nothing to do with the motor swap.
is the ground at the T-stat clean and tight?

I would go through and check all of your grounds, and connections very well. Almost everytime I've had a problem after doing an engine swap, or a problem after pulling and installing a motor...... it's almost always a loose connection, or loose ground. If the ECU isn't grounded properly, it can do all sorts of whacky crap. If the check engine light is on, scan it
