You guys change your T-belt/water pump every 100K? My friend is getting close to the century mark, but it looks to be in good shape. Better safe than sorry?

While I'm at it, I have a 97 Accord SE, what is the Honda designation for my engine? I've seen stuff like H23 and H22 flying around. Additionally, anybody know a page on Accord history, model differences, etc., so I can stop asking these dumb questions? Thanks!

Honda recommends replaceing t-belts and pumps at 90k or six years up to "96" model year. On "97" and newer they recommend 105k or 7 years. I stick to there recommendations.

do it just in case, you dont want bent valves and possible engine overhaul .


timing belt replacement costs less than engine overhaul
