please help diagnose
ok this is what i have
96 civic dx
00 gsr swap
98 JDM ITR ecu
aem intake
now my car is fluctuating and i cant seem to figure out why, when i got the swap it idled perfectly but i didnt have an intake
i wanted to drive it around so a friend of mine let me borrow his stock intake pipe from a gsr and i found a k&n filter oiled it, and put it on the pipe.
thats when the problems started cuz now i have the aem intake with dryflow filter and at idle it sounds like the engine is gurggling or itll rpm at around 1200 rpm then drop to around 700 rpm then shoot back up to 1200 again and fall back down OR itll just idle real low and shut off.
its not a vacuum leak and i dont know how to check timing. the guy that did the swap for me ran everything correct enough to pass bar (i know i have a JDM ecu) i think.
any suggestions as to what it may be?

good point. except the secondaries are always open... the ecu has to tell them to close and then allows them to open. Regardless, you're losing power unless you've swapped cams and IM.

whats the iacv? any one have a pic of that? i'm using the itr ecu because the gsr ecu had the different plug obd2 b vs. obd1 a in a 96 civic i'm looking for a 96-98 gsr ecu right now. whats IM? vtec kicks in late with the itr ecu?
