Hey guys, i have a RHD EF8 (I in Australia).
When i removed my tiebar my lca fell down.. and when i tried to drive the car on ramps it went clunk clunk clunk.
It looks as though the left hand side driveshaft has poped out a bit? and the inner cv boot has cracked.
now i have never done anything with driveshafts.
question time
Does anyone know if the cv boots or a 'boot kit' with all the supplied boots are the same as another honda, say the d16 crx (we call them ED's) or b16a2 delsol? I have a b16a1 ef8 cable gearbox
from this image it looks as though i need:
SET RING
2 BIG BOOT BANDS
2 SMALL BOOT BANDS
2 BOOTS
now i have to undo the fork to remove the shaft.. i have undo the fork.. which there is one bolt for the fork to strut and one bolt for fork to lca.. now when i undo the lca one, wouldnt it come down with a lot of force? and would it be a bitch to get back onto the strut? any tips? never done that before
also does it matter if i dont put the driveshaft in exactly as it came out.. like a few teeth/spines different?
any other handy tips?
cheers

Unfortunately I don't know what cars were available in Australia.
When I need parts to use on a B series CRX I use parts from a 90-93 Integra (DA-DB).
B series axles are different from the D series.
Try taking your broken parts with you to the autoparts store and matching them up.
Oh forgot, go here to compare part numbers.
