whats up guys, how do I know if a type r is a authentic/real one? besides the 5 lug, interior, b18c5. Is there a specific number on every one? If so where is it located. One more thing, do all type r's come with an lsd tranny? Thanks

 

all type R's have LSD, and you can open the drivers door and check that little sticker that has the cars information on it. It will say TYPE R if the car is a real type R.

 

Best bet man, is to check the VIN. If it is an ITR, the VIN will begin with:

JH4DC231

wrong... rs has no sunroof

 

There should be no hole near the abs on the frame rail.

i know but thats not what hes suppose to <U>only</U> look at. hes asking what he should look at. there was thread like this before. i thikn people said look for the vin. there are various places where u can find the vin.

From the factory they don't, but you could have one installed...
Someone on here has a dealer installed sunroof.

i know that rs's don't have them but it is just one more thing to look for when searching for a type-r. everything else was pretty much covered, including the VIN. besides i didn't say that ONLY type r's have sunroofs READ clearly before you open your mouth

You can put all of that on a regular integra. The best way to tell is the VIN.

For at least the 4th time in the past few days ... that's not enough. The 3rd gen GS-R 3-door also says DC2.

Look for the VIN to begin JH4DC231
