Rear Wing Removal
I have done several searches but came up with no luck. I was just wondering, for those of you have know or have actually tooken off your rear wing, does it leave holes in the trunk? If so, are there ways to get rid of it? And once those holes are gone, is it possible to put the wing back on in the future? Any info appreciated. Thanks.
Yes, there are holes in the trunk after you remove the wing. No, if you fill those holes, the wing cannot be placed back on the trunk lid. You can get caps to place in the holes as a temporary fix, that way if you wanna put the wing back on you can.

Yes, you can plug the holes.
Yes, you can put it back on.
only way to get rid of the holes is to get them filled by a body shop. Then to put the fin back on, you have to redrill the holes. Just plug the holes with plugs (dunno where to get them, call Mike K) and be done with it. That way if you wana put the fin back on, simply remove plugs, and bolt it back on.

The wing uses double sided tape and 4 mounting bolts. Yes, there will be 4 small hole in the hatch deck.
If you want to reinstall a wing in the future, just cover the holes with vinyl or rubber grommets.
If you have the holes filled (approx $500 at a body shop) you have to re-drill them if you want to reinstall the wing.

Civic (92-95) plugs from the shock towers where a strut brace would mount (if it came with one)... work just fine for me.
