Experiences with carbureted 88 and 89 Accords? Reliability in mind.
I am looking into one of these, I believe it's carbureted and has a starter problem of some kind, other than that, it runs well. But I'll check it out tonight just to be sure.
How reliable can these be? The one I have access to is an 89 LX. All reviews are great on autos.msn.com (LOTS of reviews)
It's only a few hundred bucks

We had an 84 Accord with 43,000 miles on it in last week for a tune-up. It has 0 problems and the A/C and everything in it work like a charm. It's pretty much in mint condition and completely rust free.. such an amazing piece of history.
I know, doesn't really help your question, but it's a free bump and just something I thought I'd share.

As long as they are running good they are very reliable cars. But if they have any running problems at all they can be a pain.
I would recommend getting a third generation in fuel injected trim if you want one (i have an 89 LX-i)
