I'm going to get a b16 in my HF rex and I'm wondering which cat to use, since the current cat is on the header on the HF.

sorry I'm at work and bored off my ***. But as far as I know any one should be able to be welded on by a good muffler shop no problem. feel lucky your in texas if you were in cali like me your engine(I'm assuming that its JDM) wouldn't even pass the visual. I'd try and get one off a del sol if I were you.I don't know texas law but it might be your best bet since its designed to work with the b16.

 

I used the d16 header on my b18b swap and it worked just fine...it lined up with the aftermarket cat, but its hollow...which means i failed emissions with flying colors But im guessing you could use a del sol v-tec cat, if your looking for a perfect fit..just an idea. I know Summit has catco(?) hi-flow cats for $53 for the civic...

I used my crx cat, worked just fine...... (crx si)

 

Well the Cat on the HF CRX is on the exhaust manifold. So I wouldn't be able to use it on the new setup. Believe me if I could I would.
