LOL you are joking right?

I think the Escalade is a huge POS, and on top of that its size is ridiculous.

I have to agree. It weighs more than twice what an ITR does and has a 13 mpg city estimate.

Dude Escalades are totally overrated. A fully loaded expedition is just as nice. My uncle is a service tech for Cadillac and he's said that they're not worth the money that people spend on them.

It's your choice but i totally advise against getting an Escalade.

If anyone did such a thing, I doubt that it would take them an entire month before they regretted it.

I think this is a joke thread but if it's not.. do what you wanna do, man. You only live once.

When I think of the type of person who would want and would own an ITR, I think of people who love and follow motorsports, and participate in them. I think of Honda fanatics, although they may also be BMW M-car fanatics, and EVO/STi fanatics, etc. To change taste and desire in an auto so fundamentally is like.. wow, how?!

Like I said, though, do what you gotta do.. and thanks for not doing it to an R.

Personally I can't STAND those ******' trucks. We lease them out all the time here at work. I find them to be cheaply built and put together. After a couple years they are clunky, squeaky, etc. For that kind of $$$ you could do A LOT better.

Can't compare an ITR to an Escalade; 2 different monsters.

You're PA'an parents had that thing in the driveway when you were a kid didn't they?

To the OP, it's your choice, I hate my TSuX because it "replaced" my R temporarily while I'm in school. IMO, spending $60k+ on a truck that will be worth $20k in 2 years is very very dumb.

I think you might regret it a little, but it really depends on what you want with the car? ITR isn't for everybody, and hell I was happy when I got a more comfortable ride. Granted, I still have had 3 ITR's over the course of the years, and I'm on my third EVO at the moment.

See if there are any exotic-type rental places that might let you rent one for the weekend. Drive it around, see how it feels and how you like it and make a judgement from there.

This is a serious post. And I plan on getting a 1999 model, which will be around 15kish. Honestly I dont know anyone that has drove an escalade, muchless own one. It just seems like one of those luxuries of life that I have always never even thought about owning because it was so far ahead of me financially, but so was my R at one time so...

I guess it all depends. Why do you have an ITR? Do you actually auto-x or track the car? If so, you'll greatly miss the car. If you own an ITR for its "BLING" factor, then you might like the more BLINGIN' Escalade.

If you are even considering this switch, you should go and get the Escalade. The ITR is not the right car for you.

I never understood this. why on earth would anyone want an escalade or anything remotely close to it, especially in place of the ITR? even if I was rich and had a large family, there are about 10 other suv's Id rather have that are more practicle, better on gas, "sporty", etc, etc. even if you are only slightly an ITR enthusiast you will be kicking yourself in the *** since the escalade has about as much "spirit" as a tugboat.

to each his own but have fun draining your pockets to keep gas in that pig.

Which is also8 years old which is also American which will aslo require mucho $$$ in the next yr in maintenance if it has normal wear and tear and mileage for a 99.
