Hey guy i'v been lookin around for some nice things on the el i have not found any on this site

just some pic, mods.. i never see anyone on here talking about the EL, maybe cuz in the states you guys dont get them and i knwo its just a civic with a different look, but would loove to see some topics and pics on them if u can help that would be great.

1.6 el is canadian model acura right? if so what type of engine do you have?
there are same frame as 98 or newer civic sedans.so you can drop it put wheels on or engine upgrades.(depends on the engine you have)

I think that the motor is a D16Y8.

No, it is not a rebadged 96-00 Civic four-door. In Japan, it's rebadged on the Domani, which is based off the civic chassis. The EL is sold in CANADA, not Europe. The Domani is sold in Japan and Europe. It's also called an Izzuzu Gemini.

Interior, amongst other things. Like I said, it's based on a civic, but it is NOT just a civic 4-door. A Honda Civic Domani is just like a Honda Civic CRX Del Sol. It's based on the chassis.

ya but its still 90% civic. The chassis remains unchanged, exept for the front and rear end. The interior is different in only the climate controll.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what you think. It's a variant. You're basically arguing that it's the same thing because it looks like it.

"Oh, it's exactly the same, except for the wheels that come with it, and the steering wheel, and the fabric patterns, and the cluster, and the cliamte control, and the center console, and 30% of the overall body. Other than that, it's exactly the same"

It's a variant, plain and simple. It is not just a civic.
