Street Tire Recomendations... Not Azenis :)
Rota Circut 8 Wheels,, 16x7, +40 offset. 1.8" lower suspension. I'm worried about the 215x45 rubbing, so I want to stay with a 205x45 tire. I'm currently looking at:
Nitto 555's
Yoko Parada's
Yoko A520's
Toyo T1-S's
Dry traction is very important. Wet traction, not so much it doesn't rain much in Cali. I also like a quiet tire. With all this talk about Azenis and S-03's, what is the next step down? Thanks for any opinions!

I just got the A520s. So far, they're great. Wet traction is decent (within limits) and I have yet to find the limits on dry ground. Ive heard that they will get noisy once they get older, but the car is noisy to begin with, so Im not really concerned with that.

Whoa!!!
I just went down to the local Les Schwab on my lunch break. Here's the conversation:
Dude: "Can I help you?"
Me: "Yea, How much are a set of 205x45R16 T1S's?"
Dude: "Mounted, balanced, etc.?"
Me: "Yea."
Dude: "That'll be 857 dollars and some change"
Me: "Guh... Does that come with wheels too? You've got to be kidding me, I knew they were expensive but..."
Dude: "Yea, they're a little expensive, could I interested you in..."
Me: "No thanks, have a good one!"
My goodness... I knew they were expensive, but just under 200 a tire... I just wanted to relate my story...

I was just wondering how the A520 compare to the A032R
A520s are good, but they are loud and the treadwear isn't very good. Louie aka Vagoitr has a set of paradas on his R and hates them.
My next set will be the Azenis, why are you against them?

Cause I with my rims and the +40 offset, I'm afraid they'll rub the suspension (I have Neuspeed Sport springs with a 1.8" drop). Also I've heard that they're very noisy....
I just put on a set of Bridgestone RE730's , and I am extremely impressed. I am not sure about sizing as I got 15's. But these are an amazing tire, very grippy, dry and wet. The Yokohama A520 was my second choice, but I went with the RE730's as they seem like to use a better rubber compound and just seem like a more modern design. I looked very closely at many tires such as the kumho 712's, Toyo T1's, Yokes, Pirellis, and Bridgetstones. I had Pirelli P7000's on the car before my new Bridgestones, and the Bridgestones are far superior in terms of grip. But the Pirellis were a good tire for the relatively low cost , they served me well. You really can't go wrong with any of the other tires, but I just think the Bridgestone RE730's are a great tire, I highly recommend them, worth looking at. A step below the Pole Positions, but almost as good for a bit less cost. I also liked the Paradas that I looked at, but they didn't have my size, but I am glad I chose the RE730's.

shi - who hopes to try them on the track soon
