Anyone have any good links for some research? or know of a shop in N. Cal, Modesto Sacramento, that can do this type of swap, and a roundabout of how much it would cost w/ labor. Is it worth doing myself?

it depends on doin it yourself. Do you have any mechanical knowledge? Have you worked on cars before? Without some base knowldege you shouldn't do it yourself.
