Help
I have a d15 with d16 v-tec head. The car sometimes wont start. Most of the time it started up just fine but once in awhile it wouldn't try to turn over. I could wait for a few minutes and it would fire right up. I was thinking the neutral safety switch was going bad. Now it wont start at all. Took it out and had autozone test it, they said it was good. What im wondering is if you have a high compression motor do you need a higher output starter? The hatch has 200psi compression in every cylnder. Im not sure what it's supposed to be but i think that's high. Any ideas on what it could be ?? Sorry for the long post.
Does the starter click? If not then I'd think it would be electrical.
If it was compression I'd think you'd see the engine turn a bit then stall the starter motor unless the starter motor has been undersized all along and the higher compression killed it.
Unfortunatley I don't know if the oem starter is adequate for higher compression but I hope I have helped you troubleshoot the problem.

i didn't mean a new stock starter i meant one with more cranking power for the high compression. If i was that retarted i dont think id be able to type. I checked the ground it's good. Sometimes it just clickes and sometimes it tries to start
