how easy is it to change the rear hub/wheel bearing assembly on the EF civic? mines got rear disc brakes so shouldnt be hard removign the disk to get at the old hub/bearing.

 

remove cotter pin, losen nut, bearing comes out, when you put the new one in make sure you lube it up real well, pack that bitch with grease

 

on mine the bearing and hub are all one peice. from looking at it it doesnt look too hard. only thing im really worried about is getting it all stripped then going to remove the old hub/bearing and finding out i need a puller or something to get it out.

 

the bearing and hub are in one piece in the rear.

however, the inner races are individual pieces. and a very common trouble is that the inside inner race does get siezed on the spindle.

then you need to either add heat, force or both. whatever its going to take to free that race.

but other than that, its very simple.

 

if all goes well it should take 30 mins a side...very simple and easy to do...
